The main religion in Tokyo is Shintoism. They have two major shrines in the city. They are called Meiji Jingu and Yasukuni Shrine. The population of Tokyo has become less religious over the years. 10% of college students will affirm to being religious. They go to religious shrines for specific occasions but not as a regular part of their lives. The way of life and the community of the city are a form of religion in and out of itself, despite no official religious organisation.
